Dr. Rick Aukerman Takes Role as Interim Dean

    Dr. Tom Dock stepped down as dean of the Texas A&M-Kingsville College of Business Administration on September 14th to assume a faculty appointment. Dr. Rick Aukerman, associate dean in the College of Business Administration, has been named interim dean effective today. A national search to fill the vacancy will begin soon.

    Cindy Longoria Joins the CBA Team as Advisor

    The CBA welcomes Cindy Longoria to the CBA team as Senior Advisor I with the Center for Student Success. Cindy is a Premont native who comes to us with a BAAS Degree with an emphasis in business from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and eight years of experience working on this campus. She held a job in the Physical Plant as Clerk I, in Student Activities as an Administrative Assistant, and at the Recreation and Fitness Center as Office Manager. But it was her position in student activities where she realized her passion was to work directly with students. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 17 years and is the mother of three boys. Please join us in welcoming Cindy to the CBA!

    Accounting Society to Host Tailgate
         for 60th Anniversary Celebration

    Come... Join The Accounting Society as they celebrate their 60th Anniversary as THE society for Javelina business students that is dedicated to exposing students to real issues in the business and accounting world.

    All Javelina Alumni of the Accounting Society are invited to a Homecoming tailgate party underneath the Javelina Alumni Association tent on Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 4-6:30 p.m. Food and drinks will be provided. The first fifty (50) guests to register will receive two (2) reserved football game tickets, courtesy of The Accounting Society. Deadline to RSVP is Friday, October 19, 2012.     CBA Participates in Career Services Career Fair

    The fall 2012 Career Fair that was held on Thursday, September 6th was a huge success! The Office of Career Services reported a 15% increase in student participation and a 66% increase in company attendance. College of Business Administration students prepared for the Career Fair by attending Résumé Walk-ups where they had résumés critiqued and the newly introduced Mocktail event where they learned etiquette tips for business networking.
