Toward Professorship
The Texas A&M University-Kingsville Foundation is pleased to announce the receipt of a lead gift by Thomas and Jeanne Russell in the amount of $150,000 toward the establishment of the Ralph C. Russell Distinguished Professorship at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
Thomas Russell is the son of the late Ralph Russell and graduated from Texas A&I University in 1962 with a degree in Chemistry. He is retired from El Paso Products Co. and now resides with his wife Jeanne in Colorado.

2012 Farm Credit Academy of Honor
Former Farm Credit Bank of Texas (FCBT) Chief Financial and Chief Operations Officer Thomas W. Hill, ’73 accounting alumnus, was inducted into the bank’s Academy of Honor at the 2012 FCBT Annual Stockholders Meeting in Fort Worth, Texas on March 30. The award established a $10,000 scholarship that was presented to the College of Business Administration in Hill’s name and divided between two recipients.
The 2012 Farm Credit Academy of Honor Scholarship recipients are Daniel L. Grimsbo, a senior majoring in information systems from Corpus Christi, Texas and Melissa L .Thompson, a senior accounting major with a minor in finance from Pleasanton, Texas.

Roberto Montoya Military Support
Fund Established
Texas A&M University-Kingsville is pleased to announce that the Roberto Montoya Military Science Support Fund has been established by VRC Corporation in the university’s College of Business Administration. The fund was established with an initial gift of $25,000 with annual gifts following to build the endowment to $100,000 over the next five years.

CBA Partners with Career Services
for Mock Interviews
Mock Interviews for CBA students were held on October 3rd to prepare students for upcoming internship and career placement opportunities. Representatives from the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Office of Career Services met with CBA students and provided constructive feedback on the interview process. Seventeen students registered to participate in this professional event. The top six performing students were awarded a leather college portfolio.
