Yvonne Saldivar is Named Distinguished
Undergraduate Student
Yvonne Saldivar, an accounting major from Raymondville, Texas, has been selected as the recipient of the Fall 2012 Distinguished Undergraduate Student Award from the College of Business Administration. This award is sponsored by the Student Government Association and recognizes outstanding undergraduates. Texas A&M-Kingsville students nominated must be graduating in the semester in which he/she is nominated for the award, have accumulated not less than 60 credit hours at A&M-Kingsville, have a cumulative 3.5 GPA and be involved in university extracurricular activities.
Saldivar completed her internship at Deloitte Discovery in the summer of 2012, is a member of the Honors College, was on the Honor Roll, Dean’s List, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Delta Mu Delta and Wellgates Scholar Program Membership. Her extra curricular activities include Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority and Delta Sigma Pi Accounting Society. Please join us in congratulating Yvonne!
CBA Students Participate in Recycle Day
UNIV/Business courses joined Javelina Habitat in effort to help promote both the Student Sustainability Contest and America Recycles Day. Business students outreached to the campus community by passing out flyers November 12 - 14 to get the word out to fellow students about the Student Sustainability contest and how they can make a difference. Business students also raised awareness to the Javelina community about recycling on November 15th. They hosted a booth and provided information demonstrating proper recycling habits and its importance. These service learning projects were in effort to create sustainability on campus.
Texas A&M-Kingsville Dec. 14
Winter Commencement
Nearly 600 graduates are ready to cross the stage to receive their degrees during two commencement ceremonies to be held at the Steinke Physical Education Center at Texas A&M University-Kingsville Friday, Dec. 14.
At the 1 p.m. ceremony, graduates from the Dick and Mary Lewis Kleberg College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Human Sciences and the College of Arts and Sciences will receive their degrees. At the 4 p.m. ceremony, graduates from the Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering, the College of Business Administration and the College of Education and Human Performance will cross the stage.
